The Podcasts & Music page is officially up and running! It’s so much more than just a list of tunes; it’s the Internal Shield I used to pull myself through low points and find my ground.
For the readers of A Broken Paradise, I’ve curated ‘The Frequency of the Shield’—a deep dive into my protagonist Awen’s journey. It’s currently sitting at 178 songs and over 12 hours of pure nostalgia for you to get lost in.

A Note on the Digital Fishbowl… I saw something pretty disheartening on TikTok yesterday that reminded me why these “Shield” playlists are so necessary. The sheer audacity of people making remarks about lives they don’t actually know is disturbing. We live in a world where rumours are treated as gospel, and the “Digital Fishbowl” makes people feel entitled to judge everyone else’s reality.
It feels like the collective frequency is at an all-time low because authenticity is being swapped for a curated facade. People forget that no relationship is perfect—but more importantly, it’s none of our business. Staying in your own lane is a lost art.
Back to the Mission: Somerset, 2011. On a lighter note—one that doesn’t involve the dismantling of someone’s marriage—I am officially transitioning into the Suburban Extraction phase of the book.
I’ve spent the last 8 hours “grafting” the dialogue for these scenes. I have the movie playing in my head, but now it’s time to put those words into action. No ifs, ands, or buts! My PC had a bit of a sluggish start this morning—I think she needed the coffee as much as I did—but we’re finally up and running. There’s nothing quite like typing a sentence and waiting three minutes for it to appear on the screen to test your patience!
