High Potential, Crochet, and Character Interrogations.
Yesterday was a whirlwind. From the hum of the hoover to the rhythmic click of crochet hooks, my mind was everywhere at once—and that’s exactly where it needed to be.
Between catching up on High Potential and clearing the physical static of housework, I dived deep into the foundations of A Broken Paradise. I didn’t just write; I interrogated. I’ve been putting my characters in the hot seat, asking them the tough questions to see if their voices hold up under pressure.
The result?
The Architecture of Conflict is becoming transparent.
I’ve been refining the concepts for my Protagonists and Antagonists. In this 2011 world, the line between ‘Saviour’ and ‘Saboteur’ is as thin as a frayed thread. As we move into Chapter 11, the stakes are shifting. It’s no longer just a journey; it’s a collision course.
The Roadmap Update:
- Current Word Count: 2,678.
- The Goal: Breaking the 3,000-word barrier today.
- The Transition: Moving from the ‘Flare’ in NJ to the Trio’s path in Kansas.
- The New Faces: Preparing for the moment ‘When 3 Becomes 6‘.
My ’16-year-old’ promise is driving every word today. I’m energised, I’m focused, and the Alliance is growing, but so is the tension.
Stay tuned—the first of the ‘Six’ is about to step out of the mist.
