Notes: This book was a truly transformative first step into understanding the human mind and its behaviours. It teaches powerful techniques for literally rewiring your brain and fostering a positive mindset, which was invaluable in helping me live with and grow through my personal struggles with anxiety and depression.

Title: Starving the Anxiety Gremlin Author: Kate Collins-Donnelly Notes: This book holds a special place in my heart, given to me by my nephew, who also navigates anxiety due to his disability. It‘s a straightforward, highly accessible read, rooted in DBT principles, that provided immense help and practical strategies during a difficult time.

Notes: I am a massive advocate for Dr Jordan Peterson, finding his insights both intellectually profound and genuinely compassionate. My Personal Insight: The Power of Knowledge and Inner Discovery.

Through a dedicated journey of education and consistent journaling, I had an incredible realisation of my own inner power. The more I learned, the more I felt myself rise, not just in understanding, but in spirit. Becoming open to new knowledge led me to discover beautiful new avenues, such as the profound world of Spirituality. There’s often a misconception, with some ignorantly labelling it as religion; however, Spirituality is not, it is a powerful belief in oneself, in connection, and in the unseen forces of the Universe.

As I explored these spiritual paths, I began to see striking similarities with Psychology. Both disciplines, in their essence, are about working towards inner peace and deeply understanding how the human psyche operates. This confluence was the eye-opening experience I desperately needed. It was through embracing both education and this deeper spiritual connection that I eventually discovered the transformative power of manifestation and the ancient wisdom of herbalism. What you tell yourself when you look in the mirror matters immensely, as does what you choose to put into your body. This journey truly affirmed for me that Knowledge is Power.

Notes: I found immense value in utilising my Samsung phone’s built-in Health app. It provided a straightforward and integrated way to consistently track key wellness metrics like my sleep patterns, daily food and water intake, and step count, offering essential insights into my overall well-being.

App Name: My Smartwatch’s Companion App.

Notes: Integrating my smartwatch with its companion app was a game-changer for deeper self-monitoring. It seamlessly synced data, allowing me to effortlessly track my sleep quality, hydration, nutrition, and daily activity levels directly from my wrist, which helped me stay accountable and aware.

Beyond reading and learning, actively engaging with your thoughts and emotions is key to cultivating lasting peace. These downloadable printables are designed to be your practical companions, offering structured ways to reflect, track progress, and apply the tools of self-awareness and healing in your everyday life.

I want to emphasise that not every suggestion will work every day, and these resources may not resonate with everyone. But please don‘t be disheartened; what might not have worked yesterday might be exactly what you need today.

Always strive to keep a positive mindset and believe in your ability to adapt and grow. As we navigate adulthood, it‘s easy to feel like we‘ve forgotten how to cope with life’s accumulating strains.
The key is to keep the momentum, remembering that consistency is better than intensity. While motivation offers a quick, powerful burst, it can often be short-lived and lead to burnout. Consistency, however, even in small steps, builds true resilience over time. It allows you to genuinely see how far you‘ve come, gaining not just quick rewards, but invaluable experience, a deep sense of achievement, and lasting positive results for your health and well-being.
